HOW A RACE IS RUN

REGISTRATION: When signing up at the registration window you must have your NBL card or your pink sheet with you.

When registering by phone, in your message you must include your NBL#, Name, Age, Class, bike #, and whether you are racing for trophy, points or open. When you come to registration to pay you need your NBL card or pink sheet. ANY RIDER NOT SHOWING FOR THE RACE IS STILL RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYING FOR THE RACE. After you have registered you may now practice on the track. There will be a person in staging who will inspect your bike. All bikes must pass a safety inspection before they are allowed on the track.

NEW RIDER - PARENT ORIENTATION: Shortly before the race is scheduled to start, a meeting and it's whereabouts for new riders and their parents will be announced. All new riders are required to attend. A track official will explain the basic rules of racing and answer any questions you might have. Parents of young children and any other interested adults are invited to attend.

MOTO BOARDS, MOTO SHEETS AND MOTOS: The motos are your races. They will be run three times. The moto boards are where they post the moto sheets. The moto sheets are the written forms with all the information about your class. Your race number and gate position. If you can’t find you name or your bike number is wrong, don’t panic, just go to registration and let them know there is a problem, we’ll get you straightened out in no time.

HOW TO READ THE MOTO SHEETS

1. Your CLASS is listed by age and proficiency. (11 ROOKIE) for example.

2. Your RACE NUMBER OR MOTO NUMBER is the order of your race. 1, 2, 3, etc.

3. Your STAGING LANE is the lane you wait in before your race is called. There are 10 lanes. Each lane is numbered. Example: If your moto number is "Moto 10" you go in lane 10. If your moto number is 21 you go in lane 1. Lane 10 for Moto 30. You should be in your staging lane about five minutes before your race is called. If you’re in moto 20 you should be in staging when moto 10 is on the gate.

4. The BIKE NUMBER on your number plate must be the same as the number on the moto sheet.

5. Your GATE POSITIONS are listed for each moto on the moto sheet. Example: the first rider on the moto sheet might have gate 8 in the first moto, gate 5 in the second moto and gate 3 in the third moto.

YOU MUST RACE FROM THE ASSIGNED POSITIONS.

We will do our best to get all Rookie riders help from our older riders. If you are having trouble getting around the track or with anything, don’t be afraid to ask for help. Most of the older riders had trouble when they started.
